We can do it by using firewall or security group but here we are going to use the firewall instead we make use of route table so lets directly move to the practical part.

Deleting the routing path for the internet:

firstly we delete the route information of the internet from system using following command

#route del -net 0.0.0.0


Before moving towards the use case of Openshift let’s overview what is Openshift.

What is Openshift?

OpenShift is a family of containerization software products developed by Red Hat. Its flagship product is the OpenShift Container Platform — an on-premises platform as a service built around Docker containers orchestrated and managed by Kubernetes on a foundation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

In simple words we can say it is an open source container application platform based on the Kubernetes container orchestrator.

Sometimes in the Hadoop cluster ,it may required that we do not want contribute the whole storage as Slave (Data Node).To solve this challenge i am providing one of the way here using partition concept.

So Let’s Start:

I have already created the hadoop cluster on the top of AWS cloud having 1 master (Name Node) and 1 slave node (Data Node).

For storage i have Created the EBS volume of 8 GB and attached it to Data Node (Slave).
